Mini magazine holder

I have seen this pattern floating around the internet and have been dying to make one of these.  So last night was the night...honestly, I have been so busy lately there has not been much time for stamping.

          

Isn't this cute :)

I used the Basic Gray cs and Urban Oasis DSP.  There is a jumbo grommet on the side (forget to photograph it). 

I pulled out my Big Shot to create flowers for decorations, so fast...so fun.

Love those corduroy buttons.

This little box holds 3x3 cards all made using Baha Breeze and Kiwi Kiss for the leaves.  Simple and fast.

  

Just add a sentiment on the inside and send a little note to a friend.  Better yet, gift the whole set !

Stationary box

I love this stationary box that we made at Spring Fling last month.  It uses my favorite paper at the moment - Walk in the Park.  Who knew that Cameo Coral would be one of my new favorite Earth Element colors.  We even inserted paper into the barrel of a RSVP pen to match.

 

The inside holds regular sized cards, tags and gift cards.  At the bottom is a monthly calendar to record all your special dates...those that are card worthy!

The concert

My son, Steven, is in the school band - 5th grade.  He participated in the concert last night and I am so proud of him.  I really regret not learning to play an instrument when I was in school.  He plays the clarinet just like his father did.  As a matter of fact, it is his father's clarinet which makes us extra proud. 

 

I have three children and they are all so different, which is great because I really enjoy watching them all grow up and take different paths in life.

PS:  he called the tie/shirt/pants a 'monkey' suit :)  Wonder where he got that, I have never said that to him.  

More presents for me

I am so lucky to have such great friends.  Look at this adorable combination of gifts I received for Easter from my dear friend Barb.  I just love the basket and card.  It really makes me smile when I receive hand-made gifts. 

The kitty candle is so cute and it reminds me of my beloved kitty Reggie who went to kitty-heaven in February.  He was 20 years old (that is not a typo).  I really miss him.  Have you ever wondered why I have a black cat on the right nav of my blog?  Well, that is a tribute to him (he was my Halloween cat).  If you mouse over the cat in different areas, he purrs or swats at you. Give it a try! 

 

Eat Cake

Everybody likes CAKE, right?  This cute card was made at the INKcredible Spring Fling and uses the Walk in the Park DSP and Great Friend butterfly from the Occasions mini.  Don't these colors just scream spring time. 

 

When you open it up, look what you get :)

Check out the Birthday Cake Big Shot die   that was used to make the 3-tier cake on the inside. Have I told you lately how much I love my Big Shot!

 

This die is so much fun to use.  Just think of all the possibilities for this one.  I am working on a Big Shot club to be advertised in my May newsletter coming out soon.  Be sure to check it out if you want to play with all the wonderful dies in our catalog.

 

Spring Fling

Back in April was our annual Spring gathering of all the gals in the INKcredible group.  There are two events a year and I really look forward to them.  Below is a picture of some of the gals in my downline (Lorraine and Dolly) and a good friend and fellow stamper, Carol. 

You should have seen all the great swaps, demos and the amazing projects we made.  I am going to create a photo album for the samples since there are too many to show in a post. 

 

Here are my friends Sandy and Cyndy.  We love to take a picture together at these events, it has be come a tradition. The best thing about stamping are all the wonderful friends you make :)

 

Here is picture of my good friend Stasia.  She is the best convention buddy EVER.  We are not sure we are going this year, I am totally bummed but I have not made up my mind yet.  It is a tough year for all.  She has an amazing blog, be sure to check it out.

 

I am going to go create the album now and will get it added to left column.  Be sure to check it out.

Things to share

I want to share some treats that I received for Easter but have not gotten posted.  They are truly to cute to miss out on.  Thank you so much Lorraine for thinking of me.  Love that little chickie and can't wait to make her next year.

 

 

Happy Mother's Day

Been out of touch since my computer was having problems...but I am back now!  I want to thank all the girls at the Mother's Day class this past Wednesday.  We made the kit below and everyone loved it.
