Yep, wanna see something that is coming in January?  Well, I have a few sets in my possession and have mounted them all !  They are ready for some stampin'.

This one is a new set called 'Game Night' and has several game pieces and card stuff to play with.  I made this card which would be cute for a Bunco friend.  There are several ladies in my neighborhood that host these parties.

 

I also accomplished another color combo challenge:  red, black and gold.  You should see the DSP that matches this set...very masculine and very fun!  But you are gonna have to wait a few more days for details :)

Belated color challenges

These challenges really help me get motivated to stamp.  The first one is Artichoke, Celery, Sage and Bashful Blue.  Lots of green going on.  Never would have put all these greens together, but they work.  I used one of the hostess sets, Orangic Grace.  I guess the fern spoke to me.  The base is Sage and the DSP is Artichoke from the hostess Paper Pack.  I stamped the ferns in all 3 greens, cut out 2 of them and the butterfly.  The flower is Bashful Blue.  To make it pop, I added beads in the middle.

 

The second challege was Real Red, Old Olive, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla.  I kinded goofed and used Kraft instead but I like the result. NO STAMPING on this card, the Big Shot did all the work!  The red button is from the new Button Bouquet assortment.  Love that bird die.

Craftroom tree and ornaments

I put up a little tree in my craftroom and filled it with hand-made ornaments and other creations.  Some where made with the On-board Trinkets Ornaments kit.  This kit makes a ton of fun ornaments and is still available in the mini catalog.  Get a big head-start on next year and buy this kit now.  You will love it.  I also used the Star Bright Ornament kit for the stars and globes.  Fun!

Another quick way to customize ornaments is to purchase solid colored balls and use rub-ons to decorate them.  Add some ribbon and snowflakes and you are done.

Our Year

I have been meaning to upload pictures from this year for my family and friends to view.  Finally got around to it today - Family Album 2008.  There are many but I picked some of the highlights.  As I look back, we did a lot of fun things.  Here is a summary of what you will see.

Not too shabby of a list of adventures.  I am sure I missed some...we are a busy family and have lots of fun together.  Can't wait to see what 2009 brings.

Hope you are enjoying your holiday.  We opened our gifts and had some breakfast and now it is time to start cleaning up the area and get ready for a fabulous Prime Rib dinner.  Yum!

Gift card envelopes

Here are two more simple projects we did at the Girl Scout class.  I wanted to show them how to make a gift card holder from an ordinary envelope.

This one used a kraft envelope and is decorated with Winter Post. 

 

No cutting involved with this one.  Just fold the envelope in half.  Give it a try.  Here is what the back and inside look like.  Pardone the shadow in the one picture.

 

This one used the Open-ended envelope folded up to meet the top.  They are good for all kinds of occasions.

Circle cards

Here is a cute circle card that we made at a class with some Girl Scouts.  Use the big scallop die with your Big Shot.  Insert a folded piece of cardstock positioned below the top of the scallop.  This creates a hinge.  Decor the front and add a tab at the top for some cord to hang on your tree.  What a cute card/ornament decoration.

 

 

I added the Big Shot snowflake on top and a scallop decoration.  Another easy and fun project.
