We made this cute little gift box with candy inside at one of my classes. It is a card and a gift box all rolled in one. How fun is that! I have been asked to post instructions and dimensions for this popular little box. Here you go...
1. Start with a sheet of card stock 12" x 3"
2. Score at 3", 4", 7", 8" and 11 " (if you choose to stamp the card stock, this is where you would do that). In our class, we layered designer paper on top to add a bit of pizzaz.
3. Fold into card, taping last tab to the side, which also creates the holder for the drawer. I suggest using sticky strip.
4. Stamp a sentiment to layer inside to use as your card. We used a holiday stamp and colored with markers to show off all the greetings.
5. To make the drawer, use a piece of card stock 4 5/8" x 4" 5/8" square. Score at 7/8" on all 4 sides.
6. Cut at corners to create flaps. Fold flaps up and tape using sticky strip to hold best.
7. You can create custom covers for chocolate treats by rolling a design on 1" x 3" white labels using SU wheels. Wrap Hershey Nuggets with the labels.
8. To create a tag for the front of the box, we used the designer label and oval punch, stamping a sentiment on top. The base of the tag that holds the ribbon is created by tracing a SU chipboard negative image and punched slits in the sides.
9. Slide the drawer into the holder, fill with treats, and tie it all together!
